Looking to brighten your smile?

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure that aims to improve the appearance of discoloured or stained teeth. It involves using chemicals, usually hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, to remove surface stains and brighten the teeth.

Special dental bleaching agents, namely hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide very effectively remove surface stains from the enamel of the teeth. Some “whitening” toothpastes can achieve this result to a very limited degree. However, when used as recommended, the bleaching products we provide not only remove surface staining but penetrate the tooth enamel and break down the compounds that cause discoloration in the deeper layers of the tooth, effectively removing the discolouration you can’t just brush away. It’s safe and easy to use.

We believe the most cost-effective way to whiten your teeth is to apply the bleaching agent, in the form of a gel, at home in custom-made plastic trays, ie mini-mouthguards. All that’s required is for an impression (mould) of your teeth to be taken and we make the customized tray(s).
Apply the bleaching gel as recommended and you’ll see the change within days.
Please note that tooth bleaching may not change the shade of existing fillings and it’s not recommended for those with untreated gum disease, or patients with severe tooth sensitivity. Our dentists can assess your suitability for tooth whitening.
